Instead of just filling in workbook short answers, introduce your children to expressing their knowledge in complete sentences of their own. Basic questions directed to students help them investigate different aspects of music, create their own reports, and, if they wish, illustrate it with a picture. Besides reporting skills, your children will automatically practice language, penmanship, and library/encyclopedia/dictionary skills.
For the teacher, activity suggestions for each subject in the added unit study include art, music, language, reading, math, social studies/history, science/health, P.E., Bible, and field trips. Find list of additional resources near the back of the packet.
This packet contains sheets on Bach, Handel, Beethoven, Francis Scott Key, Music Notation, Songs, Rhythm, Groups, Piano, Drum, Trumpet, and Violin. Using one topic per week, a packet will last an entire quarter. Print off the pages as needed. Included is a set of reproducible report forms with varying line heights and lines for music notation.
Written with Grades 3 and 4 in mind; Grades 1 and 2 can do these with parental direction. These are perfect for remedial work for Grades 5 through 8.
