We’ve made a great product even more child-interesting. Instead of just filling in workbook short answers, introduce your children to expressing their knowledge in complete sentences of their own. Basic questions are given for directed investigation. Besides reporting skills, your children will automatically practice language, penmanship, and library/encyclopedia/dictionary skills. Students then create their own reports with or without a picture. Included is a set of reproducible report forms with varying line heights. Activity suggestions for each subject include art, music, language, reading, math, social studies/history, science/health, P.E., Bible, and field trips.
The world is divided into the Middle East, Northeast Africa, Northwest Africa, Southern Africa, Europe, North America, Middle America and Caribbean Island, South America, Russia and Its Neighbors, Southern Asia, Eastern Asia, Southeast Asia, and Australia and Oceania. Each is highlighted on a world map and a separate map of each is in the Appendix. The purpose of this My First Report is to learn about the spread of Christianity from the Book of Acts until today, and become familiar with the general geography of the world at the same time. A list of past missionaries to each area helps to study mission’s history in the area. Using the book Windows on the World will bring current conditions into focus and provide information to get the student interested and involved in the “Great Commission” by intelligently praying, corresponding, and giving to ongoing work.
Using one topic per week, a packet will last an entire quarter. Included is a set of reproducible report forms with varying line heights.
Written with Grades 3 and 4 in mind; Grades 1 and 2 can do these with parental direction. These are perfect for remedial work for Grades 5 through 8.
